One Community * A New Way of Life!

Conscious and Conscientious

The founders of One Community are consciously and conscientiously creating a space to benefit the entire human organism; and we are excited to partner with other awake and aware individuals who agree that we as a species are ready to do better. Let’s face the facts: part of being consciously creating a better world as our children's children's planet“conscious” includes an objective and honest assessment of what is really possible when we decide to do something different, and for those of us already traveling in this direction the path is obvious. So let’s work together so we can get there faster.
What we are creating, and are establishing ourselves to continuously create, is a collaborative, constantly growing and evolving, completely open source contributor to global advancements in sustainability, social architecture, fulfilled living practices, education and more. If you are someone already making strides in these directions, or someone who has just known for a long time that this is the path but not had the vehicle to do something, take a look at what we are doing. We can help, we have specific ways we need help, and we are constantly looking for more ways in which to bring together, and be a part of, the creation of this blossoming human story.

"In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model.

You create a new model and make the old one obsolete. That, in essence, is the higher service to which we are all being called."

Sincere gift to alma mater

The St. Michael Institution class of 1961 presenting a mock cheque to the fund’s chairman Dr Benen Foo Ban Nyen.

FIFTY years after they left school, a group of former students from St. Michael’s Institution, Ipoh donated RM50,000 towards the Michaelians Give Back Fund at the school’s alumni dinner recently.

Speaking on behalf of the 16 “old boys” present at the dinner – who completed their Form Five in 1961 – Choo Jee Sam said that members of the group from that year, who now reside in the Klang Valley, meet up every two months for friendship and networking.

It was during one of these sessions that they decided to raise the sum RM50,000 — or RM1,000 for each year since they had left the school.

“Our group includes prominent lawyers, architects, engineers, government servants, other professionals and businessmen who are all successful in their own ways,” said Choo.

“We all have fond memories of St. Michael’s and are grateful for the solid educational foundation, the discipline, camaraderie and the ‘Michaelian spirit’ which shaped us to be what we are today.

Be Perfectly Happy to be ...

Be Perfectly Happy to be ...

There are those who seem to enjoy being unpleasant for the sake of it.
There are lots of others who are spiteful, scornful, snobbish, hurtful, selfish and small-minded.
Obviously, as an
idealistic and caring person, one is not one of them.
Now that circumstances are forcing one to deal with someone of this nature,
resist the temptation to encourage them to adopt a more gracious approach.
They're perfectly happy as they are.
Leave them be.
Be perfectly happy to be what you are, too.

The law of our life can be summed up in the axiom
"be what you are"
